| The Thanksgiving Feast, an annual Elementary School event for 22 years (as of 2004), is held the week before Thanksgiving, on Wednesday, with parents invited to join their child for lunch. The PTSO coordinates up to eighty volunteers for the many jobs, including preparing the gym, serving food in two lunch lines, clearing trays, and clean up after the event. The Thanksgiving Feast draws over 500 guests to enjoy lunch in the gym, followed by a song or two by the children, under the direction of Mrs. Menges, the chorus teacher. |
