| Middle School Activity Night 7 - 9 p.m. at the High School This evening is coordinated by the PTSO. Four 5th & 6th grade Activity Nights each year, which usually coincide with the 7th and 8th grade dances, are usually held at the High School from 7 - 9 p.m. and offer 5th and 6th graders fun activities such as ping pong, swimming, basketball, kickball, handball, and games such as Twister, Chess, Checkers and other board games. The 7th & 8th grade usually have one Activity Night each year. Refreshments are sold at low prices to students. The PTSO coordinates volunteers to supervise students along with faculty and staff who volunteer to help supervise the students. ~ ~ ~ ~ Occasionally Special Activity Nights are held, such as the Oct. 1, 2004 5th/6th Activity Night sponsored by Orthodontic Associates, Drs. Baker, Filios, Duthie at The Lansing Community Center/The Rink & The Field, 7 - 9 p.m. During this special activity night, students can enjoy many activities, including ice skating, mini-golf, soccer, and other games, with exclusive use of the whole facility for two hours. Although Activity Nights are usually free, some special Activity Nights will have a low admission fee. Orthodontic Associates' generous contribution to the PTSO, along with the PTSO's contribution, reduce the admission cost from $5/student to only $2/student for the October 1, 2004 Activity Night. =>view pictures of The Rink/The Field Activity Night => view pictures of Activity Night at the High School |
