1. Parent of children enrolled in the Lansing Central School District (Position on the District team).
2. Parent of a child who is attending the school to be represented. (Elementary, middle, or high school team.
3. Understand the approximate average time commitment is 1-2 hours/week, 2x/ month.

Selection Guidelines (Adopted by the PTSO Board March 1996)
1. You must be a parent of a child(ren) enrolled in the LCS District.
2. You have a child in the requested school at the beginning of the term.
3. You are not employed as a district or collective bargaining unit representative, teacher or support staff,
administrator or any other district employee (Commissioner's Regulations).
4. You must complete all responses on application.
5. PTSO membership is not required.
6. Preference will be given to those who have not already served on a Shared Decision-Making Team.
7. Additionally, the selection committee will try to honor an applicant's first choice of team. You are not
automatically ineligible if you have previously served on a team. You may reapply; there is no limit
on the number of terms served.
The Lansing Parent Teacher Organization (PTSO) has been designated to select parent representatives for
each team in the district. Please return this form by Friday, May 7, 2010 to the Elementary School PTSO mail
box.
