Employee Appreciation Day – May 16, Invitations made and will be distributed tomorrow
Baked goods needed for May 16, deliver by 3pm to elementary school on May 15
PTSO Special Funding Committee Report -
ES: AIS Materials $458.70; Playground supplies $300; K Field Trip to CNC $700; Instructional
Support Materials $218.25; First Grade Baggie Books $900
MS: AID Materials $1000 (half of requested); Art Materials $250 (half of requested); Trophy Case
$2000; Gym Equipment $248 (only beam pad); 5th/6th ELA dry erase board sets $560
HS: Freshman Focus Orientation $1500, D-Day Extra Funding for 2007-2008 $1000 (in addition to
usual $2000). Total Gifted = approx. $9034.95
Cathy reported that by August the remaining account balance will be $7,000 - $8,000, with most of
the Special Funding items disbursed before then.
Decision/Outcome: Motion to approve the PTSO Special Funding Committee recommendations
made, seconded and approved by all attendees. Cathy Nelson will notify the BOE for gifts for their
approval.
Cathy reported on status of work with accountants in regards to 501(c)(3)
Cathy reported that people are needed to help at all of the Spring receptions, people signed up to
help
Patti Dean reported that donations for the after prom are down at least $1,000 from last year. A
motion was made by Patti to donate up to $1,000 to the after prom for this year. It was seconded
and approved by the members present.
Decision/Outcome: An additional $1000 will be available to the After Prom Committee for this year.
Cathlene Hibbard announced that the program “5th grade, what’s it all about” will take place May 15
in the middle school from 6:30 – 7:30pm; the PTSO will be providing child care.
