1. Secretary Report: Dorothy Debbie/Cathy Nelson - Vote on Minutes - PASSED with changes

a. Monthly Financial Report
(Checking: $ 11,357.61; Savings: $3,261.83; TOTAL: $24,939.70)
{last Oct. 2006= checking & savings Total $32,609.82}
3. Membership Report: Katrina Overton,
Members: Lifetime: 50; Five-Year: 80; Annual: 162; Total: 284 (on par for last two years, but a little less than last year)
4. President's Report:
• District New Family Social tonight - 66 family invitations sent out (compared to 24 last year), with only 4 no's.
• Insurance Issue - (Kay, what did we say about this?)
• First Tee National School Program Request – Training for PE teachers and supplies that the school keeps with goal of
teaching students K-4 golf. Motion: Funding request from Lisa LaVigna for up to $150 - PASSED
• Music Dept. Request by Mrs. Menges, 30" copper rods for rhythm exercises for K-4 music classes.
Motion: Fund $175 for music class copper rods – PASSED.
C. Old Business
1. Merchandise Report - Kristen Burt (not attending)
2. Scrip Report – Tricia Thomas - We have placed 3 orders so far this year. Orders made the last Friday of the month, with
delivery within 10 working days. We do keep some inventory. This is in the 3rd year. Many stores; see www.glscrip.com
3. ES Book Fair – Kim Babuka and Kay Thomas - Had a profit $1,450.06, and gave away $615 worth of books.
4. MS Book Fair – Kay Thomas -Had a profit $861.00, and gave away $397.46
5. MS Activity Night, Oct. 4th – Kay Thomas and June Losurdo - Kay reported that is was well organized and had about
150 student attending.
6. ES Picture Day - Amy Boardman - Schedule is filled.
D. New Business
1. BOE Appreciation Dinner - Oct 15th, Anne Miller will provide food for approximately $160, with budget of up to $200.
2. 5th/6th MS Activity Night, Nov. 2nd - Needs volunteers
3. Thanksgiving Feast, Nov. 16th – Need volunteers. New eating schedule. ES Kitchen is short staffed.
4. Create A Craft, Dec. 1st
Misc:
1. EMAIL VOTE: Motion: Funding of $1,500 towards the fees for Jodee Blanko (sp) to speak - PASSED. The PTSO cover
this for the schools because funds that were expected to be present were not because former Superintendent Mark Lewis
was to submit a request to BOCES which would have covered 60% of the fees. CASS paid the balance.
(Program comments: book is recommended; good discussion. Deb Cretney will talk to Margaret and Pennee about a
discussion group.(Marueen, Tricia, Donna)
2. Request for binders and folder for 5th graders; NEW supplies are still needed. Motion: Fund up to $150 for 2007-2008
for 5th grade school supplies, under Maureen Trowbridge's coordination – PASSED
3. Mrs. McHugh, MS Librarian, was not able to acquire a videocamera for use in the MS. She is interested in a $460. We
will seek more information on who will use it and for what.
4. Deb Cretney – Get your CDC ticket
5. HS wants $300 for African Dancers to perform for the entire HS; She will ask for more info.–
6. 5th/6th Activity Night, October report - Went well; refreshments well organized by June Losurdo. Over 150 student
attended. Overall, was a small loss of about $15.
