Lansing Central School PTSO Meeting, December 4, 2005  (approved 1/24/06)

Treasurer’s Report: (Patti Dean, not present) Checking account balance $28,387.64 and savings
account balance $3,232.35.

Membership: (Katrina Overton, not present)

Script: (Tricia Thomas) has been updated and getting good response for the holiday

Correspondence: Daryl Hill thanks PTSO for Middle School fundraiser distribution help.

FYI’S: PTSO website and email (www.lansingptso.com & lansingptso@yahoo.com) should be added
to all fliers, with copies of fliers emailed to Cathy for posting to the website. Also, all email District
Bulletin fliers to me.

President’s Report:
~Elementary School 4th grade tile mounting: "Tile guy" is going to put up tiles between
Thanksgiving and Christmas.

~Report on Special Funding: A $500 "slush fund" was created to avoid email votes ($250 for Middle
School Enrichment and $250 Spec.) Cathy Mosely and Susan Rosenkotter were given money for
Authors- Matt Christopher and Gordon Korman. A special funding of $50 was used for a luncheon
for Gordon Korman on December 1st, organized by Bobbie Waseko, Susan Shuster and Donna
Prybyl.  Special Funding of $180 maximum to Elementary School for 4th grade Year Books to be
gifted from teachers as they see fit.

~Overview of 2004/2005 school year: PTSO president position will be available for the school
year of September 2006
. Cathy Nelson will unfortunately be stepping down. She has done an
amazing job with the website and has taken the PTSO to another level.

Old Business:
Sweatshirt: (Amy Boardman) Sweatshirt inventory still has a few children’s in size large available.

Middle School Activity Night: (Amy Boardman, Robin Steele) 141 attended. We are in need of
some new paddles, balls and games.
A motion was passed to have the PTSO pay for all Activity Nights.
The April Planning Meeting will discuss putting this into the 2005/2006 budget for PTSO to cover all
expenses if a Sponsor is not available or does not cover the entire cost. Discussion also made
about eliminating all High School activity nights and having them at the Rink. Ideas were passed
around about using the money in the checking account instead of "sitting on it". All ideas will be
presented at the planning meeting. Amy Boardman volunteered to organize Activity Nights if they
were at the Rink.

PTSO Special Program: (Donna Prybyl, Lisa Farr) November 7th was well attended. An expert
from out of town was brought in to speak with Mr. Prybyl and Mr. Farr. Refreshments were served; a
flyer handed out and was very informative.

Board of Education Dinner: (Dorothy Debbie, Kendall Adams) November 14th, went well in High
School. 7 members attended and Anne Miller catered. A centerpiece for $50 was purchased from
Michaeleen’s.

Thanksgiving Feast: (June Losurdo, Kay Thomas) November 16th, 971 meals were served. A
budget of $80 was spent. Thank yous were given to High School and Elementary School Cafeteria
staff, ground crew and custodians.

Create-A-Craft: (Amy Boardman, Bridget Duthie, Kim Babuka) December 3rd. It seemed to be
better attended than last year, went well. Some left over supplies were given to the Drop-in Center
at the Community Center.

Cookie Dough: (Anne Drake, Kendall Adams, Kay Thomas, Tricia Thomas) 1048 items have been
sold. Distribution will begin the week of December 12th. Volunteers will be needed at that time.

New Business:
Roller Skating at REVA: (Kristen Burt, Mary Wright) January 21st.

Spaghetti Dinner: (Anne Drake, Linda Longhouse, Amy Anderson, Penni Barresi) Amy Anderson
is unable to head the committee, looking for a new chairperson.
Decision/Outcome: Dorothy Debbie volunteered if her calendar allows.
LTAPA has offered to do desserts. Flyers are needed at all schools.

Greek Peak Tubing: (Stephanie Zerilli) Stephanie will need assistance with tubing, Lisa Oltz is
unable to remain on committee.

Safe Homes: (Nancy Gifft) BOCES has delayed printing; has been sent out. A clause was added to
ensure that parents have signed the claim, a copy of the claim is printed inside the directory.

PTSO Special Program on 5th Grade: (Bobbi Wasenko, Tricia Thomas) March 6th Childcare will
be needed. Copying of flyers and distribution need to be done.

A question regarding tax forms was mentioned at the end of the meeting. PTSO Tax exempt
report forms have not been sent into State in the past several years (over 6 years).
Decision/Outcome: Terrisue volunteered to look into this and ask her husband (lawyer) on what to
do about it.
